With unique and eye catching illustrative style, Glover uses her trademark animal characters seen in much of her work to depict the trials of being an NHS worker. We see the instantly recognisable PPE on the animal representing an NHS member of staff and a consoling (2m distanced) held out paw of gratitude from another animal. They’re from different parts of the forest, but the key factor is a message of thanks, care and appreciation. Additionally, after receiving a routine surgery recently, the artist, Glover, feels passionate about giving NHS workers the recognition they deserve in these uncertain times.
